WHERE CAN I CAST MY VOTE IN MALAYSIA?

Voters can already cast their votes at the Embassy in Kuala Lumpur or the Consulates in Penang, Kuching or Kota Kinabalu.

In order for the votes to arrive at the respective municipalities in time, you are encouraged to cast your vote early.  The deadline for timely voting at the Embassy is May 16, 2019 by close of business.  The deadline for timely voting at the Consulates is May 14, 2019 by close of business. Votes cast after these dates will not be rejected, but they may not arrive in time in Denmark to be counted.

Please make an appointment at the Embassy/Consulates to cast your vote.

You must bring your passport or driving license as proof of identification.

 

WHO CAN VOTE?

·       one who has the right to vote for the Folketing and registered in the electoral list, or

·       one who has Danish nationality, has reached the age of 18, is a permanent resident in one of the other Member States of the European Union, and is registered in the electoral list, or

·       one who is a citizen of one of the other Member States of the European Union, has reached the age of 18 and is a permanent resident in Denmark, and registered in the electoral list, or

·       one who is posted by the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Emergency Management Agency, the National Police or a Danish aid organization, or

·       one who has Danish nationality, has reached the age of 18 and has a permanent residence in Denmark.
