Commercial Advisor
Your role
As a member of a small and dynamic team, you will have to be self-driven and show initiative. Working in an international and diplomatic setting, we expect you to work professionally and with an eye for detail.
Your primary task is to assist Danish companies – SME’s and start-ups in particular – in entering or expanding their market presence in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. You will work with a variety of activities, including first line of sales, lead generation, market analysis and entry strategies, partner and client research, delegation and market visits, as well as event management and promotional activities. This will include some travel to Denmark.
Together with the Head of Trade, you will plan and prioritise business development and sales efforts across our focus sectors, in particular energy, to meet the joint regional earnings target, while focusing on always adding value for companies.
Your profile
We are looking for an open minded, positive, flexible and enthusiastic team player with an eye for quality and efficiency in your daily work and with the capability to deliver tangible results. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Preferred university degree or equivalent in a relevant field
- Experience working with trade promotion, sales or similar
- An existing network within the energy sector in Malaysia
- Self-driven, good interpersonal skills, result-oriented approach, and high drive to succeed in your own and the team’s projects
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- High proficiency in English and Bahasa, while proficiency in Danish is a plus
- International and/or cross-cultural experience is a plus but not a requirement
