Your role
As a member of a small and dynamic team, you will have to be, self-driven and show initiative. We expect you to exhibit independent thinking and be a problem solver while at the same time enjoy being a part of a team and ready to be flexible. As the driver your main tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Drive for the Ambassador and other staff members.
- Handle administrative assignments related to other embassies, diplomatic post, banking, tax authorities, customs etc.
- Maintenance of the service car (wash, service, insurance, documentation etc.).
- Accounting duties including payment of invoices.
- Liaison with Malaysian authorities and local service providers regarding the Embassy and Residence.
- Communication with distributors and suppliers regarding procurement of necessary equipment for the Embassy and Residence.
- Light repair works at the Embassy and the Residence (change of toner, light bulbs etc.).
- Daily ad hoc duties for the administrative section and other duties as assigned by the Embassy Management.
Your profile
We are looking for an open minded, positive, flexible and enthusiastic team player with an eye for quality and efficiency in your daily work and with the capability to deliver tangible results. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Minimum five years of substantive experience in a relevant position, preferred from i.e. another diplomatic mission.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa.
- Self-driven, good interpersonal skills, flexible, reliable, punctual and willing to adapt to the changing needs of the Embassy.
- International and/or cross-cultural experience is a plus but not a requirement.
