11.09.2020  15:32

The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Mr. Jeppe Kofod, on Thursday 10 September announced the decision of the Danish Government to close the Royal Danish Embassy in Kuala Lumpur in 2021. This happens as part of the ongoing adjustment of Denmark’s international presence and the opening of a new Embassy in Iraq later this year.

After the closure, Denmark’s bilateral and commercial relations to Malaysia will be handled by the Embassy of Denmark in Jakarta. Denmark will continue to work for Danish companies and interests in Malaysia, including through a network of Honorary Consuls.

The Royal Danish Embassy in Kuala Lumpur will remain in operation up until the closure in 2021.

Information: Danmarks ambassade i Kuala Lumpur lukker i 2021 – ny ambassade åbner i Bagdad
