Visa and Residence Permit

As of 1st September 2019, The Embassy of Denmark in Kuala Lumpur will no longer receive Schengen Visa application to Denmark, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
Applications for Schengen visa submitted prior to 1st of September 2019 will be processed and finalized by the Danish Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.
 
How to Apply for a Schengen Visa to Denmark?
As of 1st September 2019, the Netherlands Embassy in Kuala Lumpur will represent Denmark in matters of applications for a Schengen Visa to Denmark.  The Netherlands Embassy in Kuala Lumpur has outsourced the handling of the Schengen visa applications.  These visa applications are handled by the Visa Application Center (VAC) of VFS Global.
 
 
Schengen Visa to Iceland
Applicants to Iceland from Malaysia are referred to apply via VFS in Singapore.
 
Please note that travel medical insurance must be purchased from a company recognised by the Embassy of Denmark in Singapore, see point 9 of the check-list
 
 
Schengen Visa to Sweden
Applicants are referred to the Swedish Embassy of their home country, alternatively to the Swedish Embassy in Bangkok.
 
 
Schengen Visa and Residence Permit Applications to Norway
How to apply?
Starting 1st of September 2019 and until 7th of October 2019, all applicants in Malaysia or Brunei must meet and apply in person at the VFS Global application center in Bangkok. The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is currently collaborating with VFS Global to open a Norway Visa Application Center in Kuala Lumpur during the fall of 2019, but until then all applicants are advised to meet at the following location:

Before you can hand in your application, you must register and pay your application in the Application Portal and book a prior appointment with VFS. 
 
 
Introduction of a service fee
In addition to the application fee payable online when you register your application in the Application Portal Norway, your application will also be subject to a service fee charged by VFS Global. The service fee is payable to VFS Global on your application day.

Ongoing applications
If you have applied for a residence permit prior to 1st of September 2019, you will be notified about the decision by the Norwegian Embassy in Bangkok. If you have given someone Power of attorney to represent you in your case, the notification will be sent to the person you have authorised.
